Hi Dick,
as you could read somewhere in this thread, Robert was able to reproduce slow append on one of his systems.
So we can be sure he will fix the issue.
Of course initially the DBFCDX may be slower because some optimizations need to be implemented.
We are using this RDD in production in several applications for more than six months now, and until now we had found a few issues (all fixed now), but no showstopper or slow operation in day to day operations.
